Conversion

The Jewish Learning Center of New York offers an educational program that can lead to conversion, for those who are interested. From the start of the process, we will connect our students with a Beit Din (Conversion Board) that offers an inclusive approach to traditional Halachic conversion. The conversion ceremony will take place in Manhattan. Students who wish to work with another Beit Dein may also participate in this educational program (furthermore, there is no requirement to convert at any time in order to take Jewish Learning Center classes). The first step is to contact Rabbi Kalb, then students can then register for our Basic Judaism class (to find out more about the Basic Judaism Class, click HERE). The class is 36 weeks long. Our curriculum emphasizes a love of God, the wisdom of Israel, the people of Israel, the land of Israel, the State of Israel, and all of humanity. Our program includes one-on-one counseling meetings throughout the process.
