Visiting The Sick

At the Jewish Learning Center of New York, we feel strongly about being there for people during challenging and difficult times in their lives. The Mitzvah (Commandment) of Bikkur Cholim (visiting the sick) is one of the most important Mitzvot (Commandments) in all of Judaism. Bikkur Cholim is taught to us in the Torah (Bereishit/Genesis Chapter 18) in the context of God forming the Brit (Covenant) with the Jewish people through Avraham (Abraham) and Sarah (the first patriarch and matriarch of the Jewish people). If you or someone you know is experiencing an illness, is homebound, in a hospital, rehab center, senior residence, or hospice and would appreciate a visit from a Rabbi, click fill in the form below or call  212-220-3868 ext. 1.
